One dish, dark red seafood soup on Wo On Lane
There's no menu to browse here, just jjamppong: the Korean-Chinese seafood noodle soup Chinese immigrants brought to Korea's port cities generations ago. The broth runs dark red and loaded with mussels and squid, closer to Sichuan mala heat than the gochujang most Korean kitchens lean on.
Wo On Lane still holds a handful of cheap noodle and rice shops even as pricier restaurants creep into the blocks around it. A single-dish counter fits that older, no-frills character. You order, you sit, it arrives.
