Vietnamese-Chinese fine dining on Lyndhurst Terrace
The phở broth here never makes it into a bowl on its own. Le Le reduces it down and uses it as a base for other dishes, working the overlap between Vietnamese and Chinese cooking that runs deep in Hong Kong's Vietnamese-Chinese community but rarely gets served this dressed up. Courses come out individually plated.
The name means "happy" in Vietnamese, plainer than most fine-dining branding, and the kitchen keeps that informality even as the format stays formal. It landed on the third floor of 8 Lyndhurst Terrace the same month as Punjab Warriors a few doors down, part of a stretch that's turned into one of the district's more internationally varied restaurant rows.

Cool Vietnamese fine dining spot. Everything was plated so nicely, but my absolute favorites were the pigeon ( super tender) and the oyster appetizer (so juicy and creamy). Ended with the corn ice cream which was surprisingly nice, too. Loved the vibe!

As a Vietnamese, I was really impressed to experience Vietnamese fusion cuisine at such a high level. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. My favorite was the Green Chili Sauce dish—it wasn’t fishy at all, which was a pleasant surprise since I usually don’t eat raw food. The Pho was also incredibly creative while still keeping the familiar flavors I grew up with. It was a meal I’ll definitely remember. The staff were warm, friendly, and very polite. The space was also beautifully designed, with great attention to detail. It feels distinctly Vietnamese while still being modern and elegant.

The food was amazing and full of surprises. We had a great time with my girls. The waitress are very nice, explaining each dish’s insights. My favorite was the peigon and the corn ice cream. Highly recommend!

Been to Hong Kong many times but I haven’t found any Viet restaurant that serving this style of Viet food, the menu with names of so many familiar childhood dishes but how they turn it into something highend surprise me. And make me so excited to look forward to the next course. It’s not the usual (or stereotype) Viet food that you know. My favorite is the phở gà (esp the broth !!!) and how they infuse herbs - you have to watch till the end. It’s my favorite part. And noodles that not really noodles. How cool! And i’m not a dessert person but I love it here. Reminds me of the snack from a street food vendor I had as a kid. It was a 10/10 experience. Would love to try the wine pairing next time. Also, their menu glossary and menu holders are so cute too. I would buy some if they sell them as merchandise 💕
