La Floresta had plenty of restaurants and barely a real bar until BIG showed up. Sarah Ruiz runs the list here, split evenly between properly made classics and drinks that are entirely her own invention.
It's the neighborhood's first cocktail bar worth naming, in a part of Quito where most of the city's interesting openings happen anyway.
