Skewers over open fire, from a Yardbird and Burnt Ends alum
Chef Jeffrey Claudio, who cooked at Yardbird and Burnt Ends, runs Stoke's kitchen entirely off open fire, an omakase-style run of grilled yakitori skewers with nothing else competing for space on the menu. Jessica Tan of the Relæ Group leads front of house.
The restaurant followed a string of pop-ups and residencies before landing near the Axel Springer building, and picked up the title of Berlin's top opening of the year on the way.

To start off, the food and service is excellent. The yakitori, sashimi and other dishes are all well done and perfectly executed. Drink and cocktail selection is fantastic. However what just leaves a sour taste in your mouth is frankly the bill. It might be justified that you charge these prices, considering the city you're in, the salary that you have to pay, etc. However I'm used to yakitori being an every man's food that is inexpensive and enjoyed with a cold glass of beer. I don't even mind a slight markup as you are paying for quality here but this is excessive. You can definitely go here for a special occasion but at these prices I'd rather just go to a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Had such a beautiful evening here and still thinking about it. Saidbh was an incredible host. I wasn’t planning on the tasting menu, but she thoughtfully curated a selection from the à la carte that felt so intentional and personal - every dish just was harmonious. The drinks were just as memorable: a stunning twist on a house Negroni, a crisp Chardonnay, and then Adam crafted a smoky Whiskey Sour and an extra dirty Vodka Martini that were genuinely perfect. Even from our table, the energy of the room felt alive in the best way. But I already know I’ll be coming back to sit at the bar next time, there’s something special about watching everything unfold up close. Everything here feels deeply considered - from plating to flavour combinations to pacing. Nothing feels accidental. Even the music and sound system are part of it (if you know H.A.N.D HiFi then run!). It all adds to this subtle but powerful atmosphere. It’s one of those places that feels both comforting and quietly exceptional. So much admiration for the care behind it all - excited to return!

A truly memorable dining experience in Berlin. The atmosphere is incredible—beautifully designed, intimate, and carefully curated. The food feels authentic, elegant, and full of character, with refined flavors and a seductive touch. We tried both the tasting menu and à la carte dishes, and both were excellent experiences in their own way. I would definitely recommend coming here not just for dinner, but for the full experience. A must-visit if you are in Berlin. Reservation is highly recommended.

We had expectations but it wasn’t a great experience. We ordered the menu for 110 EUR. Plates came flying in. We said to slow it down but service or pass ignored our wish. Wine was good. Service was ok but not great. Everything was bland. Some dishes like the salad were good but hey they should be great on the grill. Would def not come back.

Very nice place with very good food and very good service. It’s more like a dining experience with special small plates. I would recommend going throughout the end of the week/weekend, so you can taste the fish. Always happy to enjoy their food!
