Ciudadela's trattoria, from formaggi boards to beet agnolotti
Chef Kiara Rivera runs the kitchen at this Italian trattoria inside Santurce's Ciudadela complex. The menu moves from formaggi and salumi boards into handmade pastas, and two dishes get people arguing: a beet-filled agnolotti and a yellowfin tuna lasagna.
They call it a trattoria on purpose, built for wine and noise and coming back often rather than one big occasion. Weeknights are easier to walk into.

We visited this restaurant two weeks ago and had an excellent experience. It has a very cozy atmosphere, and the décor is a beautiful blend of elegance and sophistication. The food was delicious, and the wine was exquisite. The service was very good as well. We will definitely return.

This restaurant is fantastic. We had an incredible meal, starting with the tuna ceviche, which was flavorful, beautifully presented, and a perfect portion for two. For our mains, we shared the Casarecce and beet pasta dishes—both were wonderful and so delicious that we found ourselves wanting more. We finished the evening with a superb tiramisu. The bartenders were excellent, and the wine selection was equally impressive. Highly recommend!

Italian with a twist. Delicious cocktails, vibes seating and soul feeding food. I came in with my husband on Palm Sunday. A late lunch/early dinner. I had a lovely Portuguese wine recommended by our waiter and my husband had a Nonalcoholic Ginger Spritz that was dazzling. Both of us had apps. Highly recommend the Steak Tartare. It was done beautifully and the homemade crisps for a perfect pairing. Also meatballs are a must…they are packed with Parmesan flavor accompanied with a deep Sunday sauce. For adventure go with the tuna bolognese Lasagna. You heard me just do it. And the spicy sausage pasta 🍝 🤌🏼 Shout out to Gabriel our waiter….we will be back

Chin Chin is magnificent. The effort and love the staff and chef have put into this place is palpable. It's rare for me to gush over Italian restaurants. I grew up eating recipes that my mother learned from her mother and aunts their food being silician-by-way-of-bensonhurst. My bar for this kinda thing is high, and Chin Chin lept right over it. I've never been to a place that could stir up such nostalgia for Sunday sauce and meatballs...till now. The place is more than familiar flavors though, the yellowfin tuna lasagna is inspired and truly delicious. For dessert the chocolate mousse with berries is simply to die for, rich, complex, perfectly textured with just enough sweetness to balance the dark chocolate. I'd recommend: The polpette, pomodori, and focaccia as starters. The wonderfully surprising yellowfin lasagna as a main. And just order one of everything on the desert menu, hopefully the mousse is on when you're there, if not go back again and get it some other night. You cannot go wrong with any of the cocktails, totally delightful.

Absolutely loved this place. You can taste the care in every dish: fresh, local produce, thoughtful flavors, and beautifully executed food from start to finish. What really stood out was how flexible and accommodating they were. I asked about vegan options and they made it easy, they offered a vegan cashew sauce for the pasta, and had solid alternatives in their menu, without making it feel like an inconvenience. This kind of hospitality is rare. The service was exceptional: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Huge shoutout to Chef Kiara for the incredible cooking, and to Laura for creating a space that feels both elevated and grounded in the local community. Can’t wait to come back, new go-to favorite in Santurce. *was too focused on eating too take pictures but Wow..
