The name heng stands for Harmony, Elegance, Neatness, Gastronomy, a manifesto that actually holds up on the plate. The chef cooked through Lyon, Sydney and Singapore before coming home to Sanmin, and the menu drifts between all three without a word of explanation.
Order a la carte, NT$800 minimum, but show up after 9pm and it drops to NT$300, making this one of the smarter late second stops in Kaohsiung. No kids under seven.

My friend and I had been looking at this place for a long time, and we finally managed to book a table for 6:30 PM. The food definitely did not disappoint! The lobster risotto is a must-order, the mushroom soup is incredibly flavorful, the confit duck leg is super tender, and the cocktails are also delicious. The reviews from other people really proved them right 🤣 I would definitely go back again!

French cuisine is truly impressive; I was already full after just the appetizers! I'm usually terrified of snails, but surprisingly, I enjoyed them quite a bit. The lobster main course was highly recommended; it was perfectly seasoned and incredibly flavorful. Although it was a little on the salty side, the meat was incredibly fresh and delicious—I loved it! 💓
