Margot

Colorado produce, natural wine, Japanese whiskey
Margot shares its South Pearl Street building with Kizaki, but the two run as separate concepts, not a split menu. Margot leans into seasonal Colorado ingredients, natural wines and a cocktail list that pulls as much focus as the plates.
It's the more relaxed of the two, closer to an upgraded neighborhood dinner than Kizaki's tasting format. Check which one has your table before you book.

I had a beautiful anniversary dinner at Margot. We had the 12 course at the chef’s table and it was such a wonderful experience. I enjoyed every single course, I don’t think I left a single crumb or drop of sauce on the plate. The menu was well thought out and creative, the dishes were beautiful, and service was so attentive.

We had an amazing experience at Margot. From the food to the service, everything was excellent. The Wagyu tartare was life-changing and probably the best thing I have had to eat all year. Also recommend the tunda crudo, and the gnocchi. Looking forward to going back at some point. When you reserve they charge and fee and say it will go to the bill, but I was refunded the money instead.

Came here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. One of the better meals we’ve had in a really long time. Everything was perfectly seasoned, beautifully prepared and what a treat to see the chefs cooking and plating right in front of you. Well deserving of their Michelin star.

We had a bit of trouble finding Margot, as there are actually two restaurants in this space. It is co-housed with Kizaki, and the entrance area does not say Margot. However, you are in the correct location! We were not able to snag kitchen table reservations, and were seated in the main dining room. The inside is warm and calm, and we settled into our seats. I had booked our group for the tasting menu, and our places were all prepared when we were seated. We all opted for cocktails. There were the special cocktails for Margot, but you can also order cocktails from the Kizaki menu or any other standard cocktail. I opted for the pink hikari, and it really matched my preferred cocktail flavor profile. It contained lemongrass flavored shoju, lychee vodka, and grapefruit juice. It was a fantastic cocktail. My husband ordered their riff on a Manhattan, which was also lovely. The first course had three components. There was a wonderful oyster, a tartlet with fish, and a square of a country -style pate. All were delicious, but I particularly liked the tartlet. Second course was a tuna crudo with pea dashi and cucumber. Also fresh and wonderful. Next up were grilled tiny white turnips, served with an interesting pistachio pesto. I should also mention at this point that everything is beautifully plated. The gnocchi and peas were sensational; I could have eaten everyone's they were that good. Then came several plates of olive oil brioche - topped with bee pollen and a peppercorn butter. It was warm and tender, and yummy! Our main course was a chicken ballotine, stuffed with morels and served with fava beans in a light mustard jus. I had warned them that I was allergic to chocolate, so while everyone oohed and aahed over the dark chocolate torte I was served a caramel canelle topped with ice cream. It was delicious. When another member of our group suddenly proclaimed he didn't eat dark chocolate, the wait staff was fast to bring him what I was eating. I love that they brought out little cookies with the bill for the alcohol. My husband teases me about this, but the bathroom also is really nice- warm wood and stone! As you can tell, the food is delicious and the service impeccable. I should add that Michelin awarded Margot with a Michelin star - it is well-deserved. I would eat at Margot again in an instant. It is in the South Pearl neighborhood, and so there are a number of cute shops and other restaurants in these few city blocks.

We came here for my birthday and did the à la carte menu. The food was all exceptional, as were the vibes. Next time we may even try to drop in for dinner at the bar. If you want a Michelin star dining experience without breaking the bank, Margot is a perfect choice
