Nikkei cooking, Peru through a Japanese kitchen
Tiradito, ceviche cut with dashi, aji amarillo standing in for wasabi: Nikura runs the Japanese-Peruvian playbook that grew out of Lima's immigrant kitchens, and it does it inside the JW Marriott.
It shares a floor with Pisco Hana, the hotel's bar, so a drink before or after makes sense. Dinner only.

Japan Peru fusion concept is unique and refreshing, with some truly creative flavors. The oysters were not as fresh as I expected, but the rest of the dishes were consistently delicious. The duck was particularly impressive, the duck smell was handled beautifully, leaving a rich and aromatic flavor. The sake selection is also excellent, with plenty of interesting options to explore. Desserts were a highlight: beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Service was attentive and professional, with warm and cheerful staff throughout the evening. Overall, a memorable dining experience with a creative menu, great sake selection, and excellent hospitality.

Food was so good! Chef Ivan was so warm & welcoming. everything we had was a work of art & the best food we had on our short 3-day trip to Vietnam. It was our first meal, and we came back for 2nds to cap off our trip on our last night. The Pan de Yuca is a must order!

The new restaurant at JW Marriott. Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Daily menu was amazing with so many different choices. We came back for a la carte dinner and the chef Ivan Casusol Rossi @ivancasusol surprised us again. The duck breast was delicious and the Brie ice cream was surprisingly tasty. Worth visiting if you’re in Saigon.

In a city full of great food this restaurant is one to come to. You don't expect to come to Vietnam and find Peruvian Nikkei but this did not disappoint. The Ceviche Peruana was the star of the show with a Leche de Tigre that was so delicious and the fish was very fresh. The Tiradito's had great flavor especially the traditional named Hamachi. The Anticuchos had the flavor that brought be back to street vendors in Cusco. Peruvian cuisine is definitely one of the best in the world and this restaurant doesn't disappoint, if you are considering trying it out give this spot a shot!!

Second visit this week. This is a valuable addition to the neighbourhood and its nice to see JWM bringing something different as this style of cuisine, whilst being very popular globally, is under-represented in Saigon. The decor is stylish and really comfy an all the attention to details have been well considered especially the staff uniforms which are great. The food is good and tasty especually the cerviche and teritada's and we also loved the pork dish, their special peruvian bread with its lovely goey texture and their signature fried rice id delicioso. This place is still finding its feet and the food i think will become more consistent and approve and i'd also like to see more animation and energy with the chefs and with the decor and dressings behind the open kitchen counter. The drinks list should also be extended. Special note also to Luna the assistant sommelier who looked after our table with finesse, anticipation and attention to detail and it was our pleasure to meet Chef Kate their peruvian sous chef working with peruvian exec chef Ivan.
