The anchor of Vinh Khanh, District 4's snail street
Ốc Oanh sits on Vinh Khanh, the street Saigon pictures whenever it thinks of ốc: snails and shellfish cooked a dozen different ways. Point at whelks, tiger prawns, lobster, octopus or crab and it comes back grilled, steamed or fried with tamarind, chilli, butter or coconut.
There's no air conditioning and the tables spill onto the pavement. Go with a group, order more than you need, and wash it down with cold beer. Michelin gave it a Bib Gourmand in 2026.
