Sichuan heat, toned down, with a harbour view in North Point

Dan dan noodles and mapo tofu still bring the mala kick, but Sichuan Verandah pulls back from full fire, aimed at hotel guests who wouldn't seek out a standalone Sichuan spot. Milder braises sit on the same menu for anyone ordering around the chilli.

The dining room sits on the second floor of North Point's Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour, facing straight across to Kowloon. It's one of a growing lineup of hotel restaurants filling in along this stretch, following One Duck Lane in the same building a few months later.

My favorite Sichuan restaurant now, the food was absolutely delicious specially the fried chicken with spices. The seating is very cozy as well.

Came here for lunch , very satisfied with the food quality, cocktail and window seat view. Lunch menu is great with some dim sum choices. Will visit again.

Sichuan Verandah offers a variety of Sichuan dishes, we can choose different spiciness level of the dishes, very flexible ! Both indoor and outdoor dining area are available. Also, the atmosphere is great with excellent services.

This time I visited the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Victoria Harbour in North Point. They've opened a new Sichuan restaurant with a sea view, "Beichuan Xiaoguan". The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel. Here you can freely choose the spiciness level. Whether you can handle spicy food or not, or if you really love spicy food, you'll find something to your liking 🌶️. We ordered: Cold appetizers ▫️Signature Sichuan-style Saliva Chicken $148 ▫️Garlic Pork Belly Rolls $148. The chicken in the Saliva Chicken was very tender and smooth. The sauce was a special chili oil sauce with a jelly-like layer in the middle. The Garlic Pork Belly Rolls were a pleasant surprise 👍🏻. They were wrapped with cucumber. I loved this combination because it had a rich texture, with both meat and a refreshing feel. Main course ▫️Pickled Cabbage Fish Soup with Osmanthus Fish $368 ▫️Spicy Boiled Beef $318 Pickled Cabbage Fish Soup with Mandarin Fish I really love the soup base. It's the kind of fish soup that's simmered until milky white 🐟. The fish soup is delicious, a sweet, sour, and spicy soup base made with white crucian carp. It uses mandarin fish, the meat is tender and smooth 👍🏻 Spicy Boiled Beef I chose BB spicy 🌶️. The beef is on top, the spinach is underneath. The portion of meat is quite generous. Very fragrant and spicy, not too spicy. If you like spicy food, you can order it spicier. Main Course ▫️Signature Beichuan Fried Rice $248 Signature Beichuan Fried Rice It contains Chinese sausage and liver sausage. It's the kind that's fried until dry. The portion of Chinese sausage and liver sausage is very generous. Every bite has it.
