Taiwan's only rum-specialist bar

Rum runs the whole menu here, over a hundred bottles deep, including pours from Taiwanese distilleries like Huwei Niang and Renaissance. The house Cuba Libre gets renamed Free Taiwan and finished with puffed-rice cracker notes.

The room reads Latin America through a Kaohsiung filter: oat and brick tones, rattan furniture, local artwork on rotation. Order the cheese candle, aged parmesan and butter shaped into a candle you can eat, then let the bartenders take you through the back bar. Find it in the Xinjuejiang alleys.
