Contemporary Italian nine floors above the East District

The elevator ride up strips away the street noise below. What's left on the ninth floor is a dining room that feels private in a way East District spots at ground level never do, with chef Yen Liu running a contemporary Italian menu built for wine pairing and long dinners.

Dinner only, Tuesday through Saturday. Book ahead for birthdays or a proper date. This is the dressed-up end of Taipei's Italian scene, not a red-sauce trattoria.

吃完馬上預約了下一季 😋 What impressed me most was the creativity behind every course. The female chef has such a delicate touch, unexpected combinations, beautiful details, and flavors that somehow work even better than you imagine. Every dish came with a little surprise. Already curious to see what Chef creates next. Can’t wait to come back for Nove’s new menu next season :)

The food was absolutely delicious! This wasn't our first time eating fine dining, but it's definitely one of the top restaurants that leaves a lasting impression. You can tell the chef puts a lot of effort into it. We had wine paired with the meal that day, and we felt it was well worth it.

This newly opened Italian fine dining restaurant I thought the risotto, lamb chops, and steak were quite good, especially the lamb with its crispy skin, fragrant fat, and tender meat – it was truly a feast for the senses. Personally, I felt the ravioli and Thai curry didn't go very well together, though they weren't bad either; it's purely a matter of personal preference. I'd like to try it again when the menu changes. 👍

This hidden gem of a fine dining restaurant tucked away on the 9th floor is incredibly generous! 🥹 Newly opened in March, "Nove" means "nine" in Italian and also reflects the restaurant's 9th-floor location What's truly special here is that it's helmed by a rare, beautiful female chef who has transformed her over ten years of experience in Europe into warm and delicate culinary creations ✨ Throughout the meal, aside from the eye-catching #SaltRoastedWatermelonRadish which was a little hard to understand, every single dish was unique and incredibly well-made! The meal started with three appetizers and handmade cheese followed by the exotic #NorthernThaiCurryCrabMeatHandmadeCrabDumplings and the soothing #HerbChickenSoup but the most amazing dish was the #60MonthsPamasonRisotto rich yet surprisingly refreshing I'm not exaggerating, you have to try it to understand this divine balance! Also recommended is to order their #TruffleMashedPotatoes The texture is smooth and creamy, perfect for sharing between two people. The highlight, their signature #SardinianLambChopWoolBlanket, is a double treat. The original version involves wrapping stewed lamb, potatoes, and vegetables in a unique raw dough and baking it. When cut open, it resembles a jewelry box. The chef has modified it into a more refined small portion suitable for individual enjoyment. The stewed lamb is incredibly flavorful. But the true soul is the succulent lamb chops, seared before serving. Absolutely no gamey smell, with an irresistible chewiness. Especially the layer of seared fat—the aroma is simply divine! I initially thought top-grade Wagyu beef would be just so-so. But the #TaiwaneseYunlinWagyuBeef—one bite and the tenderness, sweetness, and richness were simply heavenly! Looking at the menu, I was amazed by the incredible Wagyu breeding techniques in Taiwan these days. The quality of the meat is absolutely comparable to Japanese Wagyu. This steak deserves a perfect 120/100, no exaggeration. The dessert was the highlight of the entire evening. The #MisoIceCream with Masala Pear was truly stunning when it arrived. The exquisite plating, usually found only in top-tier fine dining restaurants costing four or five thousand NT dollars, was incredible. The menu here, priced under 3,000 NT dollars, was surprisingly generous. The dessert was practically a three-course French meal. The sincerity was overflowing. The entire meal can only be described as "incredibly high value for money." It's safe to say this place will become a highly sought-after restaurant in the future. I hope the chef can maintain this incredibly affordable price. Please, let me be able to book a table again in the future! 📍 Nove Set Menu $2,880 + 10% / person PS. The restaurant space is relatively small; if guests talk too loudly, it can get quite noisy, which is a minor drawback.
