Isaan cooking turned loud by the Fatboy Izakaya crew

The room runs on a fictional backstory: P'Somsak, a Bangkok taxi driver who supposedly struck it rich in Scotland and decorated the place with his winnings. Expect lottery-ticket mosaics, fighting roosters and zero self-seriousness.

The food is dead serious, though. Canadian chef Andrew Martin cooks modern Isaan with real chilli heat: hanger steak with avocado jaew bong, fried crickets billed as Esarn popcorn, prawns in aromatic seafood butter. Order the rice-washed Negroni, served in a pint glass.
