Mira Mesa has no shortage of pho, so the pitch here is speed and a clean broth rather than range. It is a lunch stop, not a destination dinner.

As a Northern Viet, I have high anticipation for Pho Ga. This place looks really good from the photos and the reviews. But, here’s my feedback on the food: The good part about this is the chicken, noodles, and scallion are pretty fresh and authentic. The chicken is pretty good quality and kudos for that cause it’s one of the only few places in San Diego if not the only place that has fresh chicken not from the freezer. Now the biggest thing is that the broth isn’t matching up with my expectations. While it is clear and light, it does not have that rich chicken flavor. It feels like it’s just salt in there and is lacking something to make it authentic broth. You know broth is the soul of phở, so the broth didn’t meet that expectations. I would give this a 3.5 star but it’s not an option here, so I’m giving 3 stars so the owner can take the feedback and make it better. I will come back to try other dishes like the dry pho ga, bun doc mung, or bun bo hue. Overall I do think this place has great potential and pay attention to the freshness of ingredients. Keep up the good work and good customer service.

This place shares the building with Crabhut. Very decent portions and the soup tastes amazing. The dipping sauce for the chicken is out of this world. I am definitely putting this place on my lunch rotation.

The food here at Pho Ga Go is very good. I have eaten a lot from here. One example is Pho Ga, the noodles were soft, the chicken was tender, and the broth was amazing. Another example was the Pho rolls and spring rolls, I like the flavor of it very much. The beef and the shrimp was amazing. The last thing I've ate from here is Bun Bo Hue, and I had to say that it was AMAZING. The noodles are thick and soft (which is the thing I like most about Bun Bo Hue), the beef was juicy and tender, and the broth is great with the spiciness of the pepper, it's just amazing! This makes me remember a lot about Vietnam and starting to miss it.
